We both grew up surrounded by cycles of pain, hardship, and unhealed wounds. We know firsthand how generational struggles can weigh heavily on a person’s life, shaping the way they see themselves and the world. Through faith, healing, and purpose, we discovered that cycles can be broken.
Our paths crossed in Atlanta at ministry school, where friendship grew into love, and in 2019 we got married, bringing together two hearts committed to helping others experience freedom and transformation.
Since 2016, we’ve dedicated our lives to serving the broken, walking alongside individuals burdened by childhood trauma, brokenness, addiction, hopelessness, and life’s hardest realities. Through years of outreach, mentorship, and ministry, we discovered a shared calling: to help people rise above their past, reclaim their identity, and step into the purpose God created them for.
That calling led to the creation of Break The Cycle, a faith based movement rooted in Luke 4:18 and built on the belief that Jesus came to set captives free.
Since 2022, God began stirring Mikaela’s heart toward Dallas. At first, Aaron resisted the idea. Atlanta felt like home, and I already had a long-term plan mapped out. But after a season of prayer, fasting, wrestling, and seeking clarity together, God made it clear that Dallas was not just a move, it was a calling.
After spending years learning from and serving alongside other nonprofits and ministries, we believe God is now calling us to build something of our own: a movement focused on breaking cycles, restoring families, and creating a community of cycle breakers.
Our vision is simple, to see lives, families, and neighborhoods transformed.
One relationship, one story, and one cycle at a time.
